Ready to thrive in your life?

Meet Vesi Hristova Jones, LICSW - online and in-person therapist in Wellesley, MA.

You have the power to manage worry thoughts, low mood, self-doubt, and difficult relationships.

I’m Vesi, and I help individuals just like you - the ones who are ready to make positive changes, but just need the support to get there.

As a clinical social worker with over 10 years of experience, I take a holistic approach to each client and will work with you to understand how various aspects of your life may be contributing to your suffering.

Through my therapy sessions, my clients find confidence, happiness, and fulfillment with a deeper understanding of their situation, themselves, and how to best achieve their goals.

Your circumstances are unique, so every step we take will be tailored to you, and always with an end goal in mind.

  • We will examine the relational dynamics that are causing the problems you’re experiencing in your day-to-day life.

  • We will work on the communication skills and behavior changes that will be most effective for you.

  • Nothing is off limits! I am here to support you in learning new coping skills, but also moving your body, improving self-care including your nutritional and sleep habits.

Through our work together, you’ll be equipped with the skills and confidence you need to thrive in your life and relationships.

What it’s like to work with me…

The “fit” between a therapist and a client is crucial in making changes, thus I encourage open communication throughout treatment on how things are going and any improvements we can make along the way.

I provide a warm, collaborative, and supportive therapeutic environment to address your needs with a customized treatment plan.  I also tend to use my sense of humor to help you address often challenging issues.

It’s not just talk therapy.

While talk therapy can be extremely helpful, my clients have also experienced excellent results by adding in additional evidence-based treatments. Active listening along with optional Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or  Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) has enabled countless clients to effectively manage their anxiety and depression, improve their relationships and live fulfilling lives.

I Can Help With:

Anxiety and Perfectionism

We would work together to identify triggers and understand the cycle of anxiety, including the role of avoidance in exacerbating symptoms.

Depression and Negative Thoughts

We would identify life stressors, which may be exacerbating symptoms, as well as utilize a behavioral schedule to help you live a more enjoyable life.

We would work together to identify the main challenges you are facing in your relationships and how you would like things to be different.
