Therapy for Anxiety, Depression, and Burnout in MetroWest, MA

In-person therapy in Wellesley and secure online therapy throughout Massachusetts.

Therapy for Adults Across MetroWest Massachusetts

I am Vesi Hristova Jones, LICSW, a licensed therapist offering in-person therapy from my office in Wellesley and secure online therapy throughout Massachusetts.

I work with adults who may appear capable and high-functioning on the outside but feel anxious, emotionally exhausted, self-critical, or overwhelmed underneath. Many are navigating demanding careers, family responsibilities, relationship difficulties, caregiving, or significant life transitions while struggling to make room for their own needs.

Therapy offers a place to slow down, better understand the patterns keeping you stuck, and develop practical strategies that fit your individual circumstances. My approach is warm, active, and collaborative, drawing from evidence-based approaches including CBT, ACT, DBT, mindfulness, and self-compassion.

I welcome clients from Wellesley and surrounding MetroWest communities, including Newton, Needham, Natick, Framingham, Weston, Wayland, Sudbury, and nearby areas.

Common Reasons People Reach Out

Anxiety, Perfectionism, and Burnout

You may find it difficult to quiet your mind, rest without guilt, or feel satisfied with what you have accomplished. Therapy can help you better understand anxiety, reduce harsh self-criticism, set healthier boundaries, and respond to stress with greater flexibility.

Depression and Negative Thoughts

Depression does not always look like being unable to function. You may continue working, caring for others, and meeting responsibilities while feeling emotionally disconnected, unmotivated, hopeless, or unlike yourself.

Relationships and Life Transitions

Relationship conflict, difficulty communicating, people-pleasing, and major life changes can leave you questioning yourself or unsure what comes next. Therapy can help you clarify what matters, strengthen boundaries, and communicate more confidently.

What You Can Expect From Therapy

Two women having a conversation in a bright, modern living room with large window, white walls, and minimal decor. One woman with blonde hair in a bun is sitting on a white sofa, holding dried pampas grass, while the other woman with dark hair and glasses is seated on a wooden chair. A stack of books is on the wooden coffee table.

I am not a therapist who simply sits back and nods. I take an active role in our sessions, offering observations, practical strategies, and compassionate challenges when they can help you move forward.

At the same time, therapy is not one-size-fits-all. We will consider your history, current circumstances, strengths, values, and goals as we decide what approaches are most useful for you.

The goal is not to eliminate every difficult feeling or offer a quick fix. It is to help you develop a deeper understanding of yourself, respond more effectively to stress, and build skills you can continue using outside the therapy room.

You do not have to wait until things become unmanageable to reach out. Therapy can also be a proactive way to better understand yourself, address patterns that are no longer serving you, and feel more grounded in your decisions and relationships.

I offer a free 20-minute phone consultation so you can share a little about what you are looking for, learn more about my practice, and ask any questions you may have.
