 FAQs

  • We will identify areas where you feel stuck and examine negative automatic thoughts and core beliefs that are holding you back from living life to the fullest. We will also focus on behavioral activation and ensure you are incorporating pleasant events, social interactions, mastery tasks and self-care activities in your schedule. One of the biggest challenges I see my clients struggle with is lack of motivation to engage in various activities. We will work on implementing the concept of “action before motivation” since research has shown the more you engage in various activities, the more motivated you feel to continue to do so.

  • We will incorporate a variety of skills including behavioral activation, mindfulness, utilizing the five senses to self-soothe, self-compassion, and identifying and challenging negative automatic thoughts. My goal is by the end of treatment for you to have a toolbox of strategies that you can access on a daily basis to manage your mood, so you feel in control of your life.
